Valve releases Deadlock ‘City Never Sleeps’ update with new heroes

Valve has released the ‘City Never Sleeps’ update for Deadlock, featuring a significant map overhaul and the introduction of six new heroes. Following a community voting system, the Rat King has been unlocked as the first playable new character.

Rat King is described as a versatile hero capable of acting as a damage dealer, support, and frontliner. His kit includes abilities such as Scrap Grenade, Rat Swarm, Royal Pestments, and an ultimate ability, ‘Rule, Ratannia!’, which provides team buffs and area-of-effect damage.

The update also includes a highly stylized presentation of patch notes, designed to resemble a tourism brochure for the game’s refreshed New York City-inspired districts, including Chinatown, Theater, Haunted Lot, and Plaza.
