Valve releases new hero Violet in Deadlock update

Valve has introduced Violet, the fifth of six new heroes arriving in the ‘City Never Sleeps’ update for Deadlock. Violet is an artist-themed character featuring abilities such as ‘Living Ink’, which allows players to steer bullets and create ink strokes that block projectiles, and ‘Flow State’, which leaves a trail to grant allies bonus slide distance while slowing enemies.

The update also features a significant map overhaul, transforming the environment into a version of New York City known as the ‘Cursed Apple’. This includes new districts like Chinatown and the Theater, as well as revamped neutral enemies and points of interest such as the Sunken Plaza and Chinatown Bell Tower. The final hero of the update, Nurse Harrow, is scheduled for release on October 20th.
