Valve Steam Controller slated for Aug 4 resale in Japan and Taiwan
Valve's multi‑function PC gamepad, the Steam Controller, has repeatedly sold out since its launch, with demand far exceeding supply. A July 23 restock in Japan and Taiwan was halted after heavy traffic caused a system outage. The official Japanese and Taiwanese distributor, KOMODO, announced that the controller will be offered again on 4 August 2026 at 10:00 JST, with a purchase limit of one unit per customer. The device will be priced at ¥17,800 and will be sold through KOMODO STATION. New orders placed now are slated for shipment in 2027 due to the ongoing supply shortage.
