Valve Steam Frame VR headset details leak via videos and accessories
Details regarding Valve’s upcoming Steam Frame VR headset have surfaced through accidental video leaks and the appearance of third-party accessories on retail platforms like Amazon and Walmart.
Leaked instructional videos, which were briefly available via an ARM-based Steam client update, reveal the unboxing process, setup procedures, and hardware features. The headset utilizes a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip and features a 21.6Wh battery located in the rear head strap. The device is designed to function as a standalone unit capable of running approximately 70 games, while also supporting low-latency streaming from a gaming PC via a wireless adapter.
In addition to the leaked footage, various accessories have begun appearing for the device, including cushioned controller grips, head straps, and carrying cases from manufacturers such as Spigen, Fosmon, and EJGAME. While Valve has not officially confirmed a release date or price, industry experts suggest the headset could cost $1,000 or more, citing rising chip prices from Qualcomm and ongoing memory supply challenges.
