Úvaly and Jihlava plan road closures for pipe swap and rock safety
In Úvaly, the municipal Technical Services will replace seven water‑pipe closures on Pražská street (Vojanova–Jiráskova section) in early August 2026. The work includes cleaning the existing asphalt, removing the old surface and laying new asphalt on 13–14 August, during which the street will be fully closed. Water supply will be interrupted until 12 August, after which access to properties is expected to resume.
In Jihlava, a specialist firm, VERTICO, will clean and secure a rock‑slope along Romana Havelky street. The project removes decayed trees, roots and unstable rock blocks, using climbing techniques, and is scheduled to start on 3 August and finish within two weeks. The street will remain open, with temporary traffic signs and a work zone for machinery and containers.
Both towns aim to complete the works while maintaining traffic flow, using temporary measures to minimise disruption for residents.
