Van and Tehran to launch direct flight routes on August 28
Direct flight routes between Van, Turkey, and Tehran, Iran, are scheduled to commence on August 28. The initiative is a collaborative effort involving Caspian Airlines, the Old Tuşba Tour enterprise, and support from the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Van TSO).
Memet Aslan, Chairman of the Van Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), stated that the new flights will significantly benefit the local economy by boosting tourism and facilitating trade. He noted that the direct air connection will offer substantial time savings and logistical advantages for industrialists and merchants compared to existing land-based or cross-border transport methods.
The flights are scheduled to operate twice weekly, specifically on Tuesdays and Fridays. This development is expected to strengthen the economic bridge between Van and Iran, enhancing regional production and distribution channels.
