Turkey and Cyprus face utility outages due to maintenance

Multiple regions in Turkey and Cyprus are facing scheduled utility disruptions due to infrastructure maintenance and network upgrades.

In Turkey, significant electricity outages are planned for Bursa, affecting 13 districts including Osmangazi and Nilüfer, with some interruptions lasting up to eight hours. Van is also experiencing planned power cuts in districts such as Çatak, Gürpınar, Erciş, and Tuşba to strengthen the energy grid. In Konya, Meram Elektrik Dağıtım Şirketi has announced a three-day maintenance program starting September 11, covering central districts like Selçuklu and Meram, as well as several outlying districts.

Water supply disruptions are also reported. In Samsun, SASKİ has scheduled water cuts across five districts, including Atakum and İlkadım, due to network faults and infrastructure work. In Trabzon, Araklı, Of, and Beşikdüzü will experience water outages caused by main network failures.

In Cyprus, KIB-TEK has announced a three-hour electricity outage for Lefke and surrounding areas, including Gemikonağı and Gaziveren, to facilitate high-voltage line adjustments.
