Van Chamber of Commerce prepares for October 24 elections

The Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Van TSO) is preparing for upcoming elections scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026. During the final assembly meeting of the 2022-2026 term, Assembly President Turan Avcı and Deputy Chairman Fevzi Çeliktaş reviewed the period's achievements, noting efforts to support the local economy and represent the needs of the business community to relevant institutions.

Zahir Kandaşoğlu, a candidate for the presidency representing the ‘White List,’ has campaigned on his previous record of institutionalizing the chamber. Kandaşoğlu stated that during his prior tenure, he worked to elevate the chamber's status within Turkey and increased its international visibility through various diplomatic and trade engagements. The upcoming election will determine the new leadership for the professional committees and the assembly.
