Van Halen to reissue final studio album on CD and vinyl

Van Halen is set to reissue its final studio album, ‘A Different Kind of Truth’, on October 23, 2026. The reissue, confirmed by Rhino Records, will be available in CD format and as a double 180-gram vinyl set.

The vinyl edition will feature double gatefold packaging and new lacquers prepared by Chris Bellman of Bernie Grundman Mastering. A limited edition transparent vinyl version will also be available exclusively through participating independent record stores.

Originally released on February 7, 2012, the album marked the return of David Lee Roth to studio recordings with the band for the first time since 1984. The lineup for the album included Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, and Wolfgang Van Halen. The record debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and achieved gold certification. Several tracks on the album, such as ‘She’s The Woman’ and ‘Beats Workin’’, were developed from demos recorded between the late 1970s and early 1980s.
