Van hosts regional youth table tennis championships

The Youth Regional Table Tennis Team and Individual Competitions are currently being held in Van, hosted by the Van Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. Held at the Edremit Nur Tatar Sports Hall from September 4–6, 2026, the event features 220 athletes representing 20 different provinces.

The tournament structure began with team matches, followed by individual competitions. According to Mahmut Kurt, a table tennis coach at the Van Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, the event covers a significant geographic area including regions from Kayseri to Kahramanmaraş and Hatay. A total of 50 teams are participating, consisting of 28 male and 22 female teams.

In the men's team finals, Van Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports is set to face Kayseri Kocasinan Municipality Sports Club. In the women's division, the final match will feature Kayseri Kocasinan Municipality against Batman Petrolspor. The championship is scheduled to conclude with final matches and an award ceremony.
