Van infrastructure project to benefit 20,000 households with new water line
The Van Water and Sewerage Administration (VASKİ) has completed a major infrastructure project to strengthen the drinking water network in the İpekyolu district. The project involved laying a 5-kilometer, 500-millimeter diameter water transmission line in the Kevenli neighborhood.
The new line is expected to benefit approximately 20,000 households. In addition to Kevenli, the improved infrastructure will serve several other areas, including Bostaniçi, Karpuzalan, Kıratlı, Yalımerez, Şafak, Hamurkesen, Sıhke TOKİ, Bostaniçi TOKİ, and the Beyüzümü neighborhood in the Tuşba district. The initiative aims to increase network capacity and resolve ongoing water supply issues in the region.
