Van stove manufacturers see early seasonal demand
In Van, Turkey, the stove season at the historic Sobacılar Çarşısı has opened earlier than in previous years due to an early onset of cold weather. The increased demand is driven by residents in both urban and rural areas seeking heating solutions.
Local manufacturers are focusing on the production of traditional stoves, such as 'tezek' (dung) stoves and 'kuzine' stoves, to meet the needs of rural populations. In addition to manufacturing, artisans are also providing repair services for turbo-style stoves. Production is expected to continue through the middle of the winter season.
Manufacturer Ferdi Akcan emphasized the importance of material quality and sheet metal thickness during production. He also issued safety warnings, advising consumers to ensure chimneys are clean before use to prevent hazards.
