Necdet Takva re-elected as Van TSO President
Necdet Takva and his 'Blue List' team have secured re-election as the leaders of the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Van TSO). Following the election held on October 24, 2026, the Blue List won 10 out of the 19 professional groups contested.
During a celebration attended by local business leaders, industrialists, and tradespeople, Takva addressed the challenges facing the region. He highlighted a perception of Van as a ‘difficult city’ in terms of both state and government relations, arguing that such an image hinders the city's ability to attract investment and energy. Takva emphasized the need to change this perception and foster a culture of consensus to drive economic development.
Takva stated that the chamber aims to be an inclusive institution where all members can express themselves freely, regardless of political views. His priorities for the new term include increasing employment, attracting investments, and supporting business owners in navigating economic risks and finding new markets. Memet Aslan, Chairman of the Van Organized Industrial Zone (VAN OSB), also congratulated the team, noting that increased cooperation between the TSO and the OSB will boost the region's industrial and commercial momentum.
