Vancouver announces lineup of summer festivals for July‑August 2026
Metro Vancouver will host a series of free and ticketed festivals this summer. The Khatsahlano Street Party, the city’s largest free arts and music event, takes place on West 4th Avenue on July 11. The 49th Vancouver Folk Music Festival runs July 17‑19 at Jericho Beach Park, with tickets priced $150‑$225. The Shambhala Music Festival in Salmo is scheduled for July 24‑27, offering volunteer‑earned general admission. The BMO Vancouver Chinatown Festival returns July 25‑26 on Keefer and Columbia Streets, free to the public. The 50th Powell Street Festival, celebrating Japanese‑Canadian heritage, occurs Aug. 1‑2 in the Powell Street neighbourhood, also free. Finally, the Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival is set for Aug. 8 at Deer Lake Park, free admission. All events feature live music, food vendors, and community activities.
