Vancouver Bandits crush Saskatoon Mamba 124-95 in CEBL season opener

The Vancouver Bandits opened the 2026 Canadian Elite Basketball League season with a 124‑95 victory over the re‑branded Saskatoon Mamba at SaskTel Centre. Guard Jaelen House, signed just two days before the game, recorded a double‑double with 33 points and 10 assists, earning player‑of‑the‑game honors. The Bandits set a franchise record by scoring 68 points in the first half and kept a dominant lead throughout, outscoring Saskatoon 63‑47 at halftime and finishing on a 32‑21 run in the third quarter.

Vancouver's balanced attack saw all five starters in double figures, while its defense forced 21 turnovers and limited the Mamba to 42 points in the paint. Saskatoon’s top scorer was Dajuan Gordon with 20 points, but the team could not overcome the early deficit, enduring a 2:45 scoring drought in the third quarter. The win puts Vancouver 1‑0 heading into its next game against the Edmonton Stingers, while Saskatoon will travel to Winnipeg for their next matchup.
