Vancouver Bandits Lose to Calgary Surge in CEBL Western Conference Game

The Vancouver Bandits were defeated 92‑84 by the Calgary Surge on Sunday at Envision Financial Court, marking the Bandits' first match under interim head coach Rans Brempong after the departure of Kyle Julius. Brempong said the team must "work on our pace" after a strong 33‑point first quarter followed by a decline in scoring.

The loss was the Bandits' fourth in six games, leaving them 9‑6 and in second place in the Canadian Elite Basketball League’s Western Conference. Leading scorers were Jarkel Joiner and Lloyd Pandi with 16 points each. Calgary’s Addison Pattison topped the game with 19 points. The Bandits will begin a three‑game road trip to Saskatoon, Calgary and Edmonton, with a home game against the Montreal Alliance scheduled for July 17.
