Vancouver hotels offer prepaid Mastercard to boost off-season bookings

The local hotel association in Vancouver is launching a promotion to increase visitor numbers during the winter off-season. Travelers staying at least two nights in one of 44 participating hotels between October 29, 2026, and February 28, 2027, will receive a prepaid Mastercard.

The value of the Mastercard ranges from CA$150 to CA$250, depending on the selected hotel. Guests can use these cards to pay their room bills, which can result in savings of up to 38% compared to other booking platforms. The prepaid cards are distributed at check-in.

Certain hotel rates may require proof of eligibility for specific groups, such as AARP or AAA members. The promotion is limited and may be withdrawn at any time. The minimum age for check-in is 19, and individuals are limited to a maximum of three bookings under this offer.
