Vancouver opens applications for 13 municipal boards and commissions

The City of Vancouver is accepting applications for openings on 13 different boards and commissions through September 30. These bodies include the Aviation Advisory Committee, the Planning Commission, the Transportation and Mobility Commission, and the Vancouver Housing Authority, among others.

Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle stated that these boards provide the community with a direct voice in shaping policies regarding livability, health, safety, and the city's future. The city noted that applicants do not require extensive resumes or political experience. An optional open house, ‘Serving Up Civic Engagement’, is scheduled for September 9 at the Cascade Community Park Library to allow interested residents to meet current commissioners and staff.
