Vancouver Police Release Video to Find Suspects in Senior's Downtown Eastside Robbery
On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at about 9:15 a.m., a group of suspects violently assaulted a 75‑year‑old man near the intersection of East Hastings Street and Jackson Avenue in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. The victim, a local resident out for a walk, was pushed to the ground, punched repeatedly in the face, slammed into a wall twice, and had his personal belongings stolen. He was taken to hospital with a head injury, bruises and abrasions and was later released.
Vancouver Police released video footage of the attack, hoping it will lead to witnesses and help identify the suspects, who remain at large. Const.
