Vancouver Whitecaps defeat FC Dallas 5-0 to lead Western Conference

The Vancouver Whitecaps secured a dominant 5-0 victory over FC Dallas on Saturday, moving back to the top of the MLS Western Conference standings.

Emmanuel Sabbi opened the scoring for Vancouver in the 11th minute. Brian White, returning from a hamstring injury, scored twice in the 23rd and 37th minutes. Edier Ocampo added a header during first-half stoppage time, and Bruno Caicedo completed the scoring in the 68th minute.

The win brings the Whitecaps to a record of 12-4-4 with 40 points, placing them two points ahead of Houston in the Western Conference. FC Dallas, previously on a three-match unbeaten streak, struggled to maintain possession and failed to score against goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka, who recorded his 10th clean sheet of the season.
