Vancouver Whitecaps host CF Montreal in Canadian Championship semifinals

The Vancouver Whitecaps will host CF Montreal at BC Place on Wednesday for the first leg of the Canadian Championship semifinals. The Whitecaps are attempting to secure a historic fifth consecutive Voyageurs Cup title.

Vancouver enters the matchup as the MLS Western Conference leaders. Their opponents, CF Montreal, are looking to rebound from a recent 7-1 loss to Inter Miami. Interim head coach Philippe Eullaffroy noted that the team has undergone a “post-mortem” and “group therapy session” to refocus following their previous defeat.

Whitecaps goalkeeper Isaac Boehmer emphasized the challenge of facing opponents motivated to topple the reigning champions. Vancouver advanced to the semifinals after defeating Cavalry FC with a 5-2 aggregate score in the quarterfinals.
