Vancouver Whitecaps sign midfielder Emrick Fotsing from Vancouver FC
The Vancouver Whitecaps have signed 18-year-old midfielder Emrick Fotsing from Vancouver FC. The deal, which includes a contract through the 2029-30 season with an option for 2030-31, is reported to be the second-highest transfer fee in Canadian Premier League history.
As part of the agreement, Fotsing will be loaned back to Vancouver FC for the remainder of the 2026 season. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a hip injury sustained while playing for the Canada U20 national team with the Whitecaps' medical staff.
