Vandalism and burglaries reported in Ille-et-Vilaine and Hérault

Multiple football clubs and sports infrastructures in the Ille-et-Vilaine department were targeted in a series of nocturnal raids on Sunday, October 25, 2026. In Guipry-Messac, authorities reported significant material damage, including broken windows, smashed giant screens, and ransacked infirmaries, with costs estimated at approximately 10,000 euros. Similar patterns of vandalism and theft were reported in Guichen, Pipriac, Renac, and La Gacilly, where perpetrators broke doors and destroyed furniture. An investigation is underway to identify those responsible for the damage to these community assets.

In a separate incident in Roqueredonde, Hérault, several hunters discovered their vehicles covered in hostile graffiti. The suspected perpetrator was intercepted by the gendarmerie. The departmental federation of hunters in Hérault has decided to join the legal proceedings as a civil party. This incident follows a reported increase in targeted vandalism against hunting equipment and property in recent years.
