Vandalism Shatters Lega Headquarters in Novi Ligure, Italy

During the night between Friday and Saturday, unidentified vandals broke into the historic Lega party office at 11 Via Amendola in Novi Ligure, smashing the storefront glass and ransacking the interior. Lega local secretary Edoardo Moncalvo condemned the act as “an ignoble, anti‑democratic attack” and pledged to continue the party’s work without intimidation. Councilor Giacomo Perocchio noted that nearby surveillance cameras should help police identify the perpetrators.

The centre‑left Democratic Party (Partito Democratico) of Novi Ligure and Alessandria issued a joint statement expressing full solidarity with the Lega, denouncing the violence and calling for a thorough investigation. PD local secretary Daniele Mascia and councilor Luca Patelli stressed that political debate must remain within democratic ideas, not intimidation or vandalism.
