Vande Bharat Express pelted with stones near Surat

Stones were pelted at the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express near Surat on Wednesday, an incident that occurred while Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel was traveling on the train.

According to Anubhav Saxena, PRO of the Vadodara Division, Western Railway, the stone-pelting took place between Utran and Kosad. While the Governor was situated in the A1 coach, the stones struck coaches C6 and C10.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) responded to the incident and arrested a suspect identified as Pintu Kumar, a resident of Surat. Authorities are currently interrogating the suspect, and he is expected to be produced before a magistrate following the conclusion of the investigation.
