VanEck and Amundi ETFs Hit Record Highs Amid European Market Rally

The VanEck Morningstar Developed Markets Dividend Leaders UCITS ETF rose to €55.01, setting a new 52‑week high. The climb was driven by the fund's index methodology, which reduces exposure to energy stocks as their prices rise and increases weighting in high‑dividend European financial firms, shifting from roughly 35% to 44% financial exposure.

The Amundi Stoxx Europe 50 UCITS fund also reached a fresh peak of €154.64 before easing to €153.20 as investors repositioned ahead of upcoming macro data. The surge was attributed to stronger‑than‑expected second‑quarter earnings across major European corporates and a stabilising inflation outlook, with industrial and energy sectors posting the strongest gains while technology lagged. The European Central Bank’s decision to keep rates at 4.5% and hint at possible cuts later in the year further supported market sentiment.

Both ETFs reflect renewed confidence in European equities, highlighting the impact of index‑driven weight changes and monetary‑policy cues on market performance.
