VanEck launches multi-asset Wealth Builder ETF with Bitcoin exposure

VanEck has launched the VanEck Wealth Builder ETF (WBMO) on the NYSE Arca, providing investors with a single-ticket solution for diversified exposure across multiple asset classes. The actively managed fund incorporates global equities, fixed income, real assets like gold and infrastructure, and a targeted allocation to Bitcoin.

The fund aims for a 2% Bitcoin allocation, with a permitted range between 1% and 5%. Rather than holding Bitcoin directly, the ETF gains exposure through digital asset exchange-traded products (ETPs). This structure allows retail investors to gain crypto exposure through standard brokerage accounts without the need for digital wallets or private keys.

Managed by David Schassler, Head of Multi-Asset Solutions, the ETF is based on VanEck’s existing Wealth Builder model portfolios previously reserved for financial advisors. The fund carries a gross expense ratio of 0.33%, which is reduced to a net expense ratio of 0.26% following fee waivers. Major holdings include S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 ETFs, alongside various treasury and gold-related funds.
