Vanesa Martín joins 'La Voz' as fifth coach for Battle phase

The Spanish version of 'La Voz' is entering its Battle phase following the conclusion of the Blind Auditions. Singer-songwriter Vanesa Martín has been introduced as a fifth coach, marking a first for the franchise in Spain.

Martín will hold a decisive role with the power to intervene in vocal duels and influence the strategies of the existing coaches: Lola Índigo, Pablo López, Melendi, and Mika. This structural change also means that, for the first time in the format's history, advisors will be removed from the competition for the time being. Additionally, a new 'Red Card' mechanic has been introduced, allowing each coach to save one contestant until the Live Shows phase.

During the final Blind Auditions, Melendi became the first coach to complete a full team of fourteen voices, utilizing a 'megablock' to secure the final talent. Mika and Pablo López also finalized their respective teams during the concluding performances.
