Vanessa Adamopoulou discusses career and showbiz

In an interview on the program ‘Kalimera Eipame’ with journalist Konstantinos Arkas, actress and singer Vanessa Adamopoulou discussed her artistic journey, her views on fame, and her personal life.

Adamopoulou, who holds a degree in History and Philosophy from the University of Athens, noted that she began her professional artistic path only after completing her studies. Regarding her career, she distinguished between the spotlight of publicity, which she considers part of her work, and the 'showbiz' industry, stating, “I do not belong there.”

Addressing ageism in the arts, she defended singer Giannis Parios against recent negative comments, arguing that an artist's value should be measured by their performance and the audience they draw rather than age. She also touched upon her role as a mother, expressing a desire to provide her son with autonomy and freedom.
