Vanessa Wagner to perform in Rio de Janeiro

French pianist Vanessa Wagner will perform at the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro on Monday, August 17, as part of the 31st edition of the Série O Globo/Dellarte Concertos Internacionais.

Wagner, a Victoire de la Musique award winner, will present a program designed to create a dialogue between different musical eras. The recital will feature nine piano studies by minimalist composer Philip Glass alongside seven preludes from Johann Sebastian Bach’s ‘The Well-Tempered Clavier,’ bridging a gap of nearly three centuries.

Recognized for her work in both classical repertoire and contemporary minimalism, Wagner has received international acclaim for her recordings, including her complete set of Philip Glass’s ‘Études.’
