Vangelis Pavlidis reaches 200 career goals with Benfica
Greek forward Vangelis Pavlidis has reached a significant career milestone, scoring his 200th professional goal during Benfica's 2-1 victory against Santa Clara in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
This latest goal marks his 17th in 17 appearances across all competitions this season. Since joining Benfica in 2024 for €17 million, the 27-year-old has become a central figure for the club, accumulating 77 goals and 21 assists in 127 appearances. His career tally includes goals scored for Willem II, AZ Alkmaar, and the Greek national team.
Pavlidis has also climbed the ranks of Benfica's all-time top foreign scorers. Following his recent performance, he has become the fourth-highest scoring foreign player in the club's history, surpassing Mikael Maniche. He currently sits 11 goals away from equaling Mats Magnusson for third place on that list.
