Vanguard cuts fees on FTSE All-World ETF as competition intensifies
Vanguard announced a 36.4% reduction in the expense ratio of its FTSE All-World UCITS ETF, lowering the fee from 0.19% to 0.14% effective 28 July. This is the second cut within twelve months; the ratio was previously reduced from 0.22% to 0.19% in October. The move targets growing price pressure from rivals such as BlackRock and DWS, which offer ETFs on the same index at 0.12%.
The ETF tracks the FTSE All-World Index, holding roughly 3,700 securities across 49 countries and reporting net assets of about US$75.7 billion. Its largest positions are Nvidia, Apple and Microsoft, together accounting for over 11% of the portfolio. The fund closed at €163.78, just 1.99% below its 52‑week high of €167.10 and up 12.67% since the start of the year. Year‑to‑date inflows have reached US$18.2 billion, and Vanguard estimates the fee cut will save investors roughly US$37 million annually.
