Vanguard FTSE All-World ETF driven by US tech concentration

The Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF is experiencing significant performance driven by a concentration of US technology stocks. Despite tracking an index of over 3,700 equities, the fund's performance is heavily influenced by its top ten holdings, which represent approximately 24 percent of its net assets. Leading these positions are Nvidia at 4.5 percent, Apple at 4.0 percent, Alphabet at 3.6 percent, Microsoft at 2.7 percent, and Amazon at 2.2 percent.

In response to market competition, Vanguard recently reduced the fund's total expense ratio from 0.19 percent to 0.14 percent. This price cut is estimated to save investors roughly 32 million euros annually. However, the fund faces stiff competition from the Xtrackers FTSE All-World UCITS ETF, which offers a lower expense ratio of 0.07 percent.

The distributing share class of the Vanguard fund currently manages around 23.5 billion euros, while the accumulating version is significantly larger at nearly 48.7 billion euros. The ETF has seen a year-to-date return of 15 percent.
