Vans announces ‘VANSZA’ collaboration collection with artist SZA
Vans has announced the first installment of its collaboration collection with artist SZA, titled ‘VANSZA’. The collection is scheduled to launch on October 22, 2026, through the Vans official online store and select retail locations, including the Vans Store Shinsaibashi PARCO.
The footwear lineup features two primary models: the Premium Knu Skool Mule, which adapts the voluminous Knu Skool silhouette into a backless mule, and the Premium Authentic Kickdown, which utilizes a 2-way design allowing it to be worn as a slip-on. The latter includes original artwork by artist Sage Adams and features distressed canvas material.
Inspired by nature and SZA’s personal style, the collection includes apparel and accessories with motifs such as butterflies, fish, and sea creatures. The designs draw from vintage outdoor and workwear silhouettes, incorporating DIY elements and humorous details. SZA, who serves as Artistic Director for the brand, noted that the collapsible heel designs were inspired by her personal habit of stepping on the backs of her shoes.
