Vans introduces Skate Loafer blending classic style with performance

Vans is expanding its footwear lineup with the release of the Skate Loafer, a shoe designed to blend classical loafer aesthetics with professional skateboarding functionality. The new models include a ‘Horsebit Black’ version and a ‘Dachshund Brown’ version featuring light brown suede and an antiqued horsebit strap.

Despite its traditional appearance, the shoe is built for performance. It utilizes a vulcanized sole, the SickStick rubber waffle outsole for grip, and PopCush insoles for impact cushioning. Durability is enhanced through DURACAP reinforcement and deep-grooved toe bumpers.

The ‘Dachshund Brown’ model lacks the signature Vans Jazz Stripe, opting instead for a subtle, color-matched tag. This release follows a broader industry trend where sportswear brands are increasingly adopting loafer silhouettes to cater to changing consumer preferences.
