Vantaa tram project designed by engineer Abul Wafa Arif Reza

Abul Wafa Arif Reza, an engineer at WSP Finland, has spent the last six years designing the tracks for the Vantaa tram project. Originally from North India, Reza moved to Finland in 2020 after completing a master's degree in Italy.

Reza's work involves extensive collaboration with various specialists to determine the tram's route and rail placement. While he previously worked on a section of the track intended to reach the airport, that specific segment will not be constructed. In addition to his engineering role, Reza visits Aalto University and institutions in Riihimäki annually to speak with students about his professional experiences.
