Vantage Data Centers explores $100 billion IPO or sale

Vantage Data Centers is exploring a potential initial public offering (IPO) or a sale as early as next year, according to sources familiar with the matter. Driven by the surge in demand for artificial intelligence, the company could seek a stock market listing at a valuation of approximately $100 billion, which would represent the largest data center IPO to date. The company could also consider a sale or a stake sale.

Backed by private equity firm Silver Lake and infrastructure investor DigitalBridge Group, Vantage has raised roughly $11 billion since late 2023. The interest in data center operators stems from the massive computing capacity required to support AI workloads, making these facilities highly attractive to both investors and strategic technology buyers.

While preliminary discussions with financial advisers have occurred, no formal process has been launched, and any plans regarding timing or structure remain subject to change. Vantage recently partnered with Oracle and OpenAI on a data center campus in Wisconsin.
