Vanvitelli University launches missing persons training course
Vanvitelli University, in collaboration with the Caserta Police Headquarters, has introduced an interdisciplinary advanced training course titled ‘Missing Persons between Emergency, Law, and Technological Innovation’. The initiative addresses the high incidence of missing persons in the Caserta province, which exceeds the national average and features a lower-than-average recovery rate.
The program aims to integrate academic training with field experience, covering legal, investigative, criminological, psychological, social, and technological aspects. It is designed to support various stages of an emergency, from the initial report and search activation to legal management and family relations. The course, presented by Law Department Director Raffaele Picaro and Caserta Police Chief Andrea Grassi, will run from October 14 to December 2026. It is intended for police officers, magistrates, lawyers, social workers, psychologists, and healthcare professionals.
