Vanya Sharma wins two gold medals at Asia Pacific Yoga Championship

Eight-year-old Vanya Sharma, a resident of Rohini Sector-22 in Delhi, won two gold medals at the 4th UYSF Asia Pacific Yogasana Sports Championship held in Bangkok, Thailand. Competing in the 6 to 8-year-old age category, Sharma also secured the ‘Champion of Champions’ trophy by outperforming older competitors.

Sharma, who has practiced yoga since the age of two and holds 20 world records, has qualified for the UYSF World Cup scheduled for December. Her training is led by her father and coach, Hemant Sharma. The championship featured approximately 200 athletes from seven countries, including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Malaysia.
