Varaždin Music School students perform at Nobel Peace Center

Students from the Varaždin Music School participated in the Young Music Talents in Europe (YMTE) conference held at the Barratt Due Institute in Oslo. The event concluded on October 2, coinciding with the International Day of Non-Violence.

A highlight of the conference was a concert performed by an international wind ensemble of students from member schools, held at the Nobel Peace Center. Representing the Varaždin Music School, students Tonka Tkalec and Jakov Maltar collaborated with peers from various European music schools to perform a joint program. The project aimed to facilitate skill exchange, cultural understanding, and the development of musical connections through performance.

School officials Davor Matačić and Sanja Buhin attended the conference to present the results and conclusions of the Erasmus+ project associated with the YMTE association. The Varaždin Music School has been a member of the YMTE network since 2022.
