Varanasi Development Authority to launch Anand Kashi gated township

The Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) is developing ‘Anand Kashi’, the city’s first integrated gated township, located in the Kallipur area. Spanning approximately 45.6 hectares, this project marks the authority’s first major township development in 30 years.

The first phase of the residential scheme includes 1,004 plots categorized into four sizes: 72, 162, 200, and 288 square meters. The development also features 108 commercial plots, three group housing plots, an educational institution, a healthcare center, a community center, and utility plots.

Infrastructure plans include roads ranging from 9 to 24 meters in width, an underground sewerage system, continuous water supply, and a robust electricity and rainwater drainage network. A major highlight is a 2-hectare central park featuring a Natraj plaza with a statue and fountains, alongside amenities such as an amphitheater, meditation gardens, and jogging tracks. To promote environmental sustainability, the project includes a 3.71-acre Miyawaki forest and ensures at least 15 percent of the total area is dedicated to green space.
