Varanasi hosts 94th Fit India Sundays on Cycle event

The 94th edition of the Fit India Sundays on Cycle initiative took place in Varanasi on October 11. Led by Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, the event followed a route from Namo Ghat to Diksha Mandap at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University.

Under the theme ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’, the program aimed to promote an active lifestyle while encouraging youth to stay away from substance abuse. The event brought together fitness enthusiasts, citizens, and Asian Games medalists to advocate for fitness, environmental conservation, and fuel savings.

In addition to cycling, the gathering at Namo Ghat featured various wellness activities, including yoga sessions, Zumba, and interactive games. Minister Mandaviya emphasized that cycling serves as an effective exercise that also helps mitigate pollution and traffic congestion.
