Varanasi: Man dies from electrocution during attempted theft

In Varanasi, a man with a significant criminal record died after coming into contact with an 11,000-volt high-tension wire. The incident occurred in the Kamaldiha village area of Cholapur police station when the individual climbed onto a house roof with the intent to commit theft.

Police identified the deceased as a person with eight registered theft cases across the Rohania, Jansa, and Rajatalab police stations. Following the accident, authorities recovered an abandoned motorcycle at the scene and have sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
