Vardar 1916 prepares for EHF Champions League clash against Wisla Plock
Macedonian handball champion Vardar 1916 is preparing to face Wisla Plock in the third round of the EHF Champions League. Following two competitive matches without securing points against Melsungen and Nantes, the team aims to earn its first points of the season at the Jane Sandanski Arena.
Coach Ivan Cupic highlighted the difficulty of the upcoming matchup, noting that Wisla Plock is among the top 10 to 12 teams in Europe and possesses what he considers the best defense in the Champions League. Cupic emphasized that Vardar's offense must perform at its highest level of the season to overcome Wisla's aggressive and mobile defensive specialists. The coaching staff has conducted detailed analyses of Wisla's playstyles to prepare for the encounter.
