Vardar prepares for Champions League clash and domestic derby

RK Vardar is preparing for its final match of the EHF Champions League group stage against German side MT Melsungen. The match will take place on Wednesday, October 28, at the ‘Jane Sandanski’ Sports Center in Skopje. Although Vardar cannot advance to the main phase and will move to the EHF European League, coach Ivan Cupić emphasized that the match is a matter of pride and honor for the team and its supporters.

MT Melsungen enters the match with six points and remains in contention for a spot in the main phase. Vardar enters the fixture following a series of victories, including a recent win against Nantes in France.

In domestic football, the reigning champions Vardar are set to face league leaders Shkendija in a high-stakes derby. The match will be held at the City Stadium in Gostivar. Player David Babunski expressed optimism for the team, noting that they are aiming for three points to maintain their momentum in the title race against competitors such as Shkendija and Struga Trim Lum.
