Varde Municipality pauses Microsoft data center projects

Microsoft data centers Varde citizen protests infrastructure development

Citizen protests have led the Varde Municipality to pause the development of two multi-billion dollar data centers planned by Microsoft.

Preben Friis-Hauge, the municipality's chairman of planning and development, indicated that the local government is hitting the brakes on the project following opposition from residents.
