Armenian MP's claim of 100,000 foreign voters disputed by NSS data

National Assembly MP Arpi Davoyan claimed that approximately 100,000 people were brought from abroad to participate in the June 7 parliamentary elections, alleging a form of ‘election tourism.’

However, data from the National Security Service (NSS) does not support this claim. According to NSS statistics, 33,168 Armenian citizens arrived from Russia between May 1 and June 7, which is an increase of only 3,358 compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the total number of Armenian citizens arriving from all countries actually decreased by 9,719, totaling 199,447. While there were public statements from certain groups in Russia regarding supporting the return of Armenians for voting, the official border crossing data contradicts the assertion of a massive influx of 100,000 voters.
