Varese cultural projects highlight local identity and Swiss media history

Varese and its surrounding province are the focus of two distinct cultural initiatives highlighting local identity and historical media connections.

VareseNews and Radio Materia have launched a new editorial project titled ‘50 storie un territorio’. The project features fifty personal accounts from diverse individuals, including entrepreneurs, academics, athletes, and citizens. These stories aim to explore the relationship between people and their community, examining how the Varese territory influences personal paths and identity.

Additionally, the RSI Archivi Facebook page is providing access to historical Swiss television content that has long been part of the cultural fabric for residents of Varese. The archives allow viewers to revisit classic programs, dialect comedies, and news broadcasts that were widely watched in the region before the cessation of terrestrial digital transmitters in 2019.
