Varese hospitals face security calls after nighttime intrusion

Following a nighttime intrusion at a hospital in Varese where a vending machine was broken into, the Fials Sette Laghi union has called for enhanced security measures within the Asst Sette Laghi facilities.

The union is demanding a proactive prevention plan to protect workers, particularly during night shifts. Specific requests include closing non-essential access points, such as the gates on via Lazio and viale Borri, and ensuring only necessary entrances remain open under strict control. Additionally, Fials is calling for an increase in security personnel, arguing that a single guard is insufficient for the complexity and size of the hospital complex.
