Varese to host BookCity for the first time in November 2026

Varese will debut as a participant in the BookCity program from November 23 to 29, 2026. The city will host 21 free events distributed across various locations, including the Civic Library, the Riccardo Malipiero Musical Lyceum, Cinema Teatro Nuovo, Fondazione Morandini, and several bookstores such as Mondadori Bookstore, Ubik, and Asinelli.

Other participating venues include Palazzo Estense, Villa Panza, and the Anna Frank middle school. While the events are free, organizers note that some may require prior reservation. This expansion of the Milan-based literary festival into the provinces is supported by the Lombardy Region, aiming to increase cultural accessibility and engage new readers throughout the territory.
